Of course!  When you register you can insert your email, which will be synced in with your child’s message center.  Every time I send a message to your child you will receive a no-reply email with the content of the message so you know exactly what was said.  The same applies if your child sends me a message, you can see that too.  This feature is an option for every age group.

(Top of Page)

Q3) Do you have insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured.
(Top of Page)

Q4) Will my five year old be playing with the thirteen year olds?
No, players at camp are grouped in appropriate age groups. Usually we split them up by 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-13 year olds. However, if a player stands out in a group we will move them up or down an age group to make sure they are challenged at their own level.

Q5) Can a camper still come to camp if their schedule only allows them to come to part of it?
Yes, if we are informed ahead of time pro rates are available.

Q6) What happens if there is a weather issue?
Any concern of weather you can call Jared at 985-237-0763. His phone will be set up like a hotline with specific directions on what to do.

Q7) Will Jared Montz be coaching or does he just put his name on the shirt?
Yes, I (Jared) am very involved with all the coaching aspects of camp. I write the coaching plan from minute one to the last minute of camp for all ages and groups. I then coach it to my staff to make sure everyone at camp is learning exactly what I want them too. I then rotate from group to group every 10-15 minutes coaching at each group. This way exercises and games are smooth, organized, and efficient which maximizes the learning potential for your child at camp.

Q8) Who are the coaches that Jared hires to help him?
I hire local coaches who have played or are still playing at the college level. All of my coaches have past experience coaching. My reason for hiring this way is because I want to use them as a motivational tool for campers. I want to show the campers that the staff and I were all in their shoes at one point, but we worked hard and tried to learn as much as we could and went on to make it at the next level. I teach the campers how to use their Believe in it® attitude to prove to them that hard work pays off!
(Top of Page)

Q9) What will my child learn at camp?
At camp we reference "being a good pro", your child will learn how to have a good attitude, work hard, be a good teammate and always be willing to learn new things. Campers will also learn the little tricks of the trade that I know now that I wish I would have known at their age. For example, older players will learn how and why to check their shoulders before they receive a ball and the younger players will learn the importance of changing pace to get past a defender.
(Top of Page)

Q10) Why is camp only three hours each day?
It is three hours because that is the perfect amount of time to accomplish everything I want the kids to learn in a day without becoming tired and unfocused. Any longer than three hours and the kids will lose attention (because that is what kids do) and it will not be beneficial for them to be coached at past the three hour point. Professionals do not even train three hours; they can’t keep their attention for that long either!!
(Top of Page)

Q11) What is a day like at Jared Montz Pro Soccer Camps?
The day starts with a quick meeting and then we send campers off in their groups. I don’t like to teach them everything at once so each day is based on a theme. I have three basic themes; attacking, shooting, and defense. The first hour of each day will consist of warm up, skills, technique, and games designed to practice their new skills and technique in a fun environment. The second hour and fifteen minutes will be exercises and games for either attacking, shooting, or defending. The last thirty to forty-five minutes will be the final game of the day. I always like to end on a real game because that is what soccer is about, games! If each player can implement one new thing they learned that day than that is improvement and that is what this game is all about!
(Top of Page)

Q12) What is the player to coach ratio?
The player to coach ratio is low. Usually 6 players per one coach. When I rotate around from group to group, the ratio drops.
(Top of Page)

Q13) Can I leave my child at camp or do I have to stay and watch?
Parents, family members, and friends of the family are always invited to come out and watch, but that does not mean you have to. Feel free to drop them off at the start of camp and come back three hours later to pick them up when camp has concluded. The last thirty to forty-five minutes of camp is always the final game of the day and I encourage parents to come out and watch their kids during the scrimmage.

Q14) When is the autograph, picture, and question and answer session?
The autograph, picture and question and answer session takes place on the last day of camp when all players receive their camp shirts. The soccer part of camp will end 30 minutes early this day for the end of camp presentation. All awards, prizes, and autographs will be done then. I highly recommend that all parents attend this with their cameras because there will be plenty of Kodak moments. Don’t worry if you don’t have a camera because my staff will be taking pictures and we will email them out in a web album to you after camp.
