Online Soccer Academy Overview
Hi, my name is Jared Montz; welcome to the Online Soccer Academy. We make better soccer players through easy to learn from free, online training videos. Our mission is to teach players that if you Believe in it® and back that up with hard work, anything in life is possible.
The idea to create America’s 1st Online Soccer Academy hit me like a ton of bricks in the summer of 2008 after two and a half years of running my own soccer camps and coaching hundreds of youth players in Louisiana and Mississippi during the off season of MLS; during my days as a professional. When I was a pro player I was very limited on time. I tried my best to pick the best camp dates so all my campers could attend, but I would always hear the same thing, “It's just not a good time for camp, we are busy with X, Y & Z!!” Now, players can find a good time that is convenient for them because the Online Soccer Academy is available to you 365 days a year! Players participate online, on their own time, and parents do not have to drive anywhere!
I know how busy soccer moms and dads are with their own careers, kids, school, team soccer, and family time and I believe all of these parents deserve awards for what they do on a daily basis. The last thing they need is another soccer program that is going to put miles on their minivan and add hours to their field time.
That is why my Online Soccer Academy makes perfect sense for players and parents!
In America, I believe the reason we have not yet fully succeeded in the soccer world is because of the typical American youth soccer model. Players in America, on average, train only 1-2 times per week with their team. The rest of the time they have to train on their own. Foreign youth players are training 5-6 times a week with their team. Instead of complaining about our situation I have come up with a solution, the Online Soccer Academy.
I want to give players a better shot than I ever had. Growing up in Louisiana I trained on my own all the time because the team I played on was two and a half hours away and I could only get up there for training once a week. I wish I could have had a coach to help me during all of those hours I spent in my backyard.
I designed the Academy so players can learn new ways to train on their own or with a partner in a backyard setting. Our players receive one Online Soccer Academy training video a week. The OSA training videos are the closest thing to me giving a personal private lesson without actually being there. The reality is American players have to train on their own and most of them don’t know what to do, I didn’t, and now I plan to fix that!
Besides learning the game of soccer, my Online Soccer Academy is a motivational and inspirational source for our players. Every player has their very own personal profile page that only the player, their parents, and I can see. It is private from the rest of the Internet. On their profile page they can set their dreams, watch OSA training videos on demand, record their juggling scores on their personal juggling chart, track game statistics and results on their game review forms, watch pro player interviews and ask me questions anytime they want via the OSA messaging system!
Anyone in the world can join, participate and use the Onlien Soccer Academy anytime. Wherever you are the Online Soccer Academy will work for you! The Online Soccer Academy is free, easy to use and if you own a soccer ball, can turn on a computer and sign onto the Internet you can do this!
