The Dehner Boys - OSA Player Spotlight

Jared Montz

Colin_Ryan_Dehner

The Dehner boys are Online Soccer Academy players from Maryland.  Colin and Ryan watch OSA videos, practice regularly and are Believe in it® Athletes.  It's common for them to have 8 or so neighborhood players playing at their backyard field of dreams.

I had the honor of coaching Colin and Ryan a few weeks ago at our OSA Soccer Clinic in Bel Air, Maryland.  They were good, worked hard and improved quick but what I loved the most was their passion.  Even though we were playing 4v4 on a basketball court (due to rain) the game meant something to them.  You could see it in their eyes and how they celebrated when a goal was scored.  Passion for the game is important.

They reminded me of me when I was their age.

Keep it up boys.  Small improvements daily equal big improvements over time.

Meet Owen Abbott.

Owen is an OSA player and Believe in it® Athlete.  He is our OSA Player Spotlight this week.

He practices a lot and is always looking to improve.  I've personally seen him shoot and his technique is excellent despite his young age.  He's also got that attitude of wanting to compete, wanting to play, wanting to improve and wanting to win.

Owen's "it" is to play pro soccer.  What is your it?®

In the video above is 8 year old Grady Labishak.  Grady is from Zanesville, Ohio and he is an OSA player and Believe in it® Athlete.  He plays on a U-9 team for Zanesville Arsenal Soccer Club.

He loves soccer, practices regularly and plays with passion.  You can see that passion in the way he does his Believe in it® fist pump.

"Passion is kind of an important word for me.  Wether it's playing sport or wether it's just living or whatever you are going to do.  In my opinion you should be passionate about it.  Or else, why do it?" - Pat Tillman

Grady's mom has a "Slow Mo" video feature on her phone.  She shot this video of Grady showing his skills.  Love the suspense and drama.

Keep working hard and have fun Grady.  Don't forget small improvements daily equal big improvements over time.

Katelyn Penner Walkabout - OSA Player Spotlight

Jared Montz

Katelyn Penner (age 12) completes a soccer skill walkabout in Portland, Oregon Tobin Heath style. Don't miss the ending!

A few weeks ago I got a tweet from Katelyn.  She said she loves OSA videos and sent me a link to her juggling video.  I was immediately impressed.  I wish I had these skills at her age!

Keep it up Katelyn!  Awesome video!
