Zoom Livestream Directions
Virtual OSA Group Training
Overview
At OSA, we coach to help players improve, inspire them that if you Believe in it® and back that up with hard work, anything in life is possible.
You or your player will improve if they work hard, bring a positive attitude, and have fun!
Trust the process, go with the flow, let your OSA Coach lead and this will be an AWESOME experience!
Our Virtual OSA Camp sessions are fun, fast, and packed with lots of touches!
Players do livestream sessions at home with minimal space, indoors or outdoors, using one ball and a few socks for cones! For perspective, OSA Coaches will film indoors or outdoors using about 5 yards by 5 yards of space or less.
Directions for Zoom Livestream Sessions
1. Download Zoom.
Zoom, a free app, is required to participate in Virtual OSA Group Training! Zoom is simple and easy to use. Learn how here.
2. Join Zoom Meeting (the Livestream Session) each day using link and password 5 minutes before your start time.
For example, members have access to a members’ schedule with dates and zoom links like the example below.
Monday
Training Session
Intermediate to Advanced
Ages 9-17
4-5pm pst / 7-8pm est
Meeting Link = (zoom link shown here on member’s page)
Password = (password shown here on members’ page)
Is password required to enter Zoom meeting?
If password isn't required to enter meeting it's because Zoom's technology has password built into the link. If Zoom asks for a password it's the password shown on the members’ page minus the quotation marks.
Please join a few minutes early to hang out, juggle the ball around while you wait and allow time to troubleshoot any technical issues you may have. An OSA Coach will turn on the Zoom meeting 5 minutes prior and be on during this time to hang out, help and chat with players! Think of it like showing up early to practice, but in the virtual world!
3. Can't make a session, no problem as sessions are recorded!
Sessions each day and are recorded to watch anytime throughout the week. They are available on a private webpage you can access from your member page.
4. Each session players will need.
Ball
4-6 cones (use socks or water bottles if you don't have cones)
Water
Cleats or tennis shoes depending on your surface
Piece of paper and pen or pencil
5. List Player's Name on Zoom
If possible, please list your player's first name and last initial on Zoom. This is NOT mandatory, but having your player's name on Zoom will make it easier for our OSA Coaches to call them by name when they are coaching in the livestream as they will see their name on their video.
It's simple and can be done in a few clicks. This article explains how.
6. Turn Video On in Zoom
This is OPTIONAL, but if you/your player is okay with it please have their video turned on for Zoom. This way their OSA Coach can give personalized coaching tips throughout camp as the coach can see players training. Plus it's motivating for other players to see others training. If your OSA Coach can't see your player, it's no big deal and they will still give words of encouragement, they just won't be able to give personalized coaching tips.
