#13 Soccer Training Session

This soccer training video has soccer drills to help you train on your own!

Equipment Needed: A few cones and as many soccer balls as you have!


0 - 5 minutes: 

Warm Up, jog and stretch and get ready for training. 


5 -- 10 minutes:

Set up three cone goals about 25-30 yards ahead of you. These are your attacking teammates. Toss ball in air, control it quickly, then pass to one of the three cone goals. Don't shoot it, pass it as if you were passing to your teammates. Repeat for 5 minutes. 


10 -- 15 minutes:

Keep same set up with 3 cone goals. Face the side of field with the ball. Fake like you are going to pass it to a wide player, then attack your space ahead of you and make a pass to one of three cone goals. Think of a center back dribbling up out of the back and drawing in defenders before they pass it off. Repeat for 5 minutes. 


15 -- 20 minutes:

Defending Fitness! Set up two cones about 10 yards apart. Sprint to top cone, jockey back quickly shifting your feet as if a defender was dribbling at you. As soon as your jockey back to start cone immediately sprint to start cone again and repeat. Repeat this 5 times in a row. Rest for 30 seconds to a minute, then repeat process until 5 minutes is up. I like to put a ball at top cone so I can envision winning it in a game! 


20 -- 25 minutes:

Chip practice! Set up two cone goals. These are your target forwards. Your start cone is about 30-35 yards away. Take touch forward and chip ball into to target players feet. For tips on how to chip a soccer ball watch my Online Soccer Academy training video titled "How to Chip a Soccer Ball". Repeat for 5 minutes. 


25 -- 30 minutes:

Free juggling. Feet, thighs, shoulders, etc! If you go for your record make sure to update your Online Soccer Academy dot com juggling chart! 

If you want to extend the training session time then add on time to any section you want extra work on. 

Make sure to finish with cool down and stretching. If you are up for it add on a few sit ups and push ups!
