#2 Soccer Training Session

This OSA soccer training session you can do in your backyard on your own time, outside of team soccer practice. 

This is also a great soccer conditioning to do for summer soccer training when you are out of school. 


Equipment Needed: 

5 cones and a mini soccer ball. If you don't have a mini soccer ball a regular soccer ball works just fine. 


0-5 minutes: 

Warm Up - Jog & Stretch with Mini Ball 
Different exercises but keep the ball with you


5-10 minutes: 

Mini Ball Foot Work - Every 30 seconds change the exercise: toe taps, inside taps, behind the back V's, In Front V's, scissors, step overs, etc. 5 minutes total. 


10-15 minutes: 

Dribbling Sprints - Set up cones at angle, straight run home, Juggling during 20 second rest. Do 5 reps, then rest and repeat until 5 minutes is up. 


15-20 minutes: 

Passing against Wall with Man On or Turn and dribble to cone. Check shoulders before you receive the pass to practice looking for defenders and teammates. Angle your body to receive the ball. 


20-25 minutes: 

Fitness with the Regular Ball - 30 seconds hard dribbling, 15 seconds rest; repeat 5 reps.


25-30 minutes: 

Free Juggling - Practice then close to the 30 minute mark give yourself 3-5 tries to beat your record. Make sure to mark your high score for the day on your Online Soccer Academy juggling chart. 

If you want to extend the training session time then add on time to any section you want extra work on. 

Make sure to finish with cool down and stretching. If you are up for it add on a few sit ups and push ups!
