#7 Soccer Training Session

This OSA soccer training video you can do in your backyard on your own time, outside of team soccer practice. 


Equipment Needed: 

5 cones, a soccer goal and as many soccer balls as you have. If you don't have access to a goal then use a fence or wall. 


0-5 minutes: 

Warm Up. Jog and Stretch. Do the regular exercises including side shuffling, knees up, etc. 


5-10 minutes: 

Speed ladder exercises with passing on goal. Set up a cone ladder in front of goal, a ball in front of the cone ladder and then do different ladder exercises and when you get out sprint and pass, don't shoot, the ball in the corner of the goal. Repeat for 5 minutes. 


10-15 minutes: 
Shuttle Sprint with Passing on Goal. Set up start cone and end cone away from goal. Sprint to end cone and when returning to start cone pass ball in corner of goal. Repeat 5 times, rest and then repeat for 5 minutes. 


15-20 minutes: 
Dribble in and out of cones and then shoot for power. Jog back. Repeat 5 times, rest and then repeat for 5 minutes.


20-25 minutes: 
Toss ball high in the air, control it and get it on the ground as fast as possible and get a shot off. Check your shoulders and look around you when the ball is in the air. Repeat for 5 minutes. 


25-30 minutes: 
Juggle with your feet and then after a few juggles hit a half or full volley shot. Repeat for 5 minutes. 

If you want to extend the training session time then add on time to any section you want extra work on. 

Make sure to finish with a cool down and stretching. If you are up for it add on a few sit ups and push ups!
