Winter Soccer Indoor Foot Skills

Today we are learning (soccer tips) a foot skills exercise we can practice as indoor soccer drills.

If you do soccer drills in your house make sure you talk to your parents and make sure it's okay! I don't want any parents or soccer coach calling me yelling at me for telling you it's okay to play winter soccer in the house!

This exercise is great because it works on your foot skills and you don't need much space to do it. It's good fitness too for your calves and helping develop quick feet!

Key Points:

1. Be on your toes and take touches back and fourth with the inside of your feet.

2. Every third touch place your toe studs on top of the ball and roll it across your body.

3. Shuffle your feet quick to get to the ball and repeat.

4. Focus on staying on the same line during this exercise. Try not to move forward or backward when you take your touches.

Exercise Player Can Do:

Start off practicing this exercise very slowly to get the rhythm. Once comfortable pick up your speed. The more you improve the faster you should go to challenge yourself.

Go for 30 seconds, rest for 30 seconds then repeat. Do this 5 times. Do more if you would like or come up with a new exercise. If you are feeling really good and fit then do reps of 45 seconds or a minute at a time.

What Player Could Be Doing Wrong:

If the ball is rolling to far away from you then you are dragging the ball across your body to hard. Don't put to much force behind it. It's about technique, not power. Slow down, get it right, and then pick up speed.

Bonus Tip!

This is just one of many ways you can practice foot skills. Please post a comment and share any other ways you love to practice your foot skills to share with the rest of your Online Soccer Academy teammates!
