Do I think you can be a Professional Soccer Player?

"Do you think I can be a professional soccer player?"

Unfortunately I don't have the answer if you can go pro. Only you have the answer to that question and you answer it through hard work and self belief. 

Here's what I believe and I say this statement to players and myself multiple times daily. If you Believe in it® and back that up with hard work anything in life is possible. Your "it" is your dream or goal. Maybe your "it" is to play pro, or make the Varsity team, or get an "A" on your next test. You can make your "it" come true but only if you Believe in it® and back that self-belief up with hard work. If you work hard but don't have confidence, that won't work. You need both parts of the statement to have a true Believe in it® attitude. 

Having said that play the beautiful game because you love the game and take it step by step. Enjoy the process. 

Don't stress over going pro tomorrow is what I mean. Yes, that may be your long-term goal to play pro, but enjoy the process it takes to get there. Have fun in training and being a part of a team with your teammates. Enjoy improving. This applies when you do go pro too. You don't just stop once you make it pro. You continue the cycle of improving and having fun while you do it. Soccer is a journey, not a destination. 

Having said all this just because you play soccer doesn't mean you have to go pro. You can play just because you love it and I promise you the game will always be a part of your life even when you are older and not a youth player anymore. 

So my question to you is, if you want too, do you think you can go pro?
