Fancy Juggling Pick Up Trick - Online Soccer Academy

This pick up trick is a fancy way to start juggling using your feet. You probably will never do this in a game but it is a fun way to challenge your skills and show off in front of your friends! 

Key Points:

1. Place your Toe studs on the ball 12 inches in front of your plant foot. Don't reach for the ball; it should be close to you. 

2. Drag the ball all the way back behind your plant foot.

3. Lift the ball up in the air by angling the outside of your foot down and exposing the inside of your foot to the ball.

4. It's a soft lift of the ball, not a kick. Don't rush this move. Stay slow and composed. Your plant foot should stay on the ground until the ball is in the air and past your plant leg. 

Exercise Player Can Do: 

Start off practicing the technique of this move without a ball. Once comfortable practice with your ball. Practice until you master it or get tired. 

What Player Could Be Doing Wrong: 

If the ball keeps hitting your plant foot you are rushing this trick and lifting to early. Try it slower and drag the ball all the way behind your plant leg before you lift the ball.

If the ball is going low and away from you and not high and close to you, then you do not have your foot angled correctly. Remember to angle the inside of your foot up, not away from you.
