How To Do a Neck Stall Push Up
Learn the neck stall push up from Coach DJ.
It’s a challenging freestyle soccer trick!
Key Points:
1 - Neck stall it.
2 - One knee down.
3 - Kneel.
4 - Hands down.
5 - Feet back and hips up.
6 - Push up like a champ! Like a champ!
Exercise to Practice:
To practice on your own first start off doing a few pushups slow and controlled. If you cant ride a bike, you don't ride down the steepest hill right away. So if you cant do pushups, don't try neck stall pushups first.
Do 10 slow and controlled pushups to get comfortable.
Once confident try a neck stall without a ball and transition into a neck stall push up. Get your body use to how this will feel.
Next, use a ball. Neck stall and transition to a push up slow and controlled.
After you get the hang of it try do as many neck stall pushups as you can in one minute! Post your high score in the comments! Maybe this will be a statUP test one day! My record is 67.
Once you are legit, take your legitness up a level and do a neck stall push up from a foot stall.
A great way to practice the foot stall to neck stall transition is to use a washcloth instead of a ball. The washcloth is easier to catch on your foot and neck versus a ball. Now you can feel how this would work before you get the ball out. When ready get the ball out.
Take your legitness up a few more levels by tossing the ball up in the air and neck stall it as you drop into a pushup position. Thats gucci!
What’s Wrong:
If the ball is rolling off your neck before you kneel you are looking down, not up.

Practicing the neck stall push up will get you ripped!
